Required Techniques
NB.
A thorough knowledge of the White, Yellow, Orange, Green and Blue Belt
syllabus (including all variations) is expected before a student is permitted
to grade for Purple Belt.
- Valley drop throw.
- Counter to straight arm lock.
- Counters to a back arm & collar grab.
- Bar chokes.
- Roundhouse kick to kidneys.
- Upward rising block.
- Upward inside forearm block.
- Downward inside forearm block attacking with punch.
- Head, hip & knee throw.
- Front kick followed by side kick.
- Pad work - side thrust kick, left / right.
- Pad work - front snap kick, left / right.
- Wedge blocks.
- Counters to bar chokes.
- Full shoulder.
- Shoulder wheel throw.
- Novice kata.
- Reverse dropping body drop.
