Junior Orange Belt Syllabus

Required Techniques

NB. A thorough knowledge of the White and Yellow Belt syllabus (including all variations) is required before a student is permitted to grade for Orange Belt.

  1. Body drop.
  2. Half shoulder.
  3. Leg throw with lock.
  4. Dropping version of a full shoulder.
  5. Back hammer lock
  6. Hold down with double arm lock.
  7. Rice bail throw.
  8. Inside hock throw.
  9. Defending sweeping loin throw.
  10. Attacking sweeping loin throw.
  11. Stamp throw.

Bokken - Wooden training sword
Tanto - Knife
Tonfa - Wooden batons/night-sticks
Nunchaku - Rice Flails
Bo - Wooden Staff
Katana - Metal sword
Kama - Sickles/threshing blades
